On Tuesday, December 20th, 2016, wee will be donating our services to live stream a very special hockey game that means a lot to the Welland Community and the Turner & Jacques families.  Julia Turner & Dalton Jacques were two incredible young people whose lives were taken from them too soon.  Each year since Julia’s passing, the Welland Minor Hockey Midget Teams have played an exhibition game in her honour, raising funds, food & awareness for The Hope Centre, which was close to Julia’s heart.  This year, Dalton Jacques & Julia Turner will both be honoured at the game – The Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton is the charity the Jacques family would like to benefit.

Since the game is being broadcast live by WeeStreem, wee are encouraging the entire Welland hockey community to pack the stands at the Main Arena wearing PURPLE in Julia’s honour and YELLOW in Dalton’s honour.

More broadcast details will be forthcoming as wee build the evening into a sincere & true “Hockey Night in Welland”, complete with interviews, play-by-play & more!
